VEGAN CHOCOLATE CAKE
For the cake
2 cups of all purpose flour
1 1/4 cup of raw cacao powder
1 tsp of baking powder
1/2 tsp of baking Soda
1 cup of raw sugar cane
1/4 tsp of Himalayan salt
* 2 Cups of vegetal milk ( I used organic soy milk )
* 2/3 cups or good quality vegetable oil
* 2 Tbs of apple cider vinegar
* 1 Tbs of valilla extract ( not essence )
For the Frosting
1/4 of organic icing sugar
1/4 cup of raw caco powder
1/2 cup of vegan butter
1 tsp of Vanilla extract
2 Tbs of vegetal milk
1-Add all of the dry ingredients to a large bowl (pass through a strainer)
2-In a separate bowl, whisk together all of the wet ingredients.
3-Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and whisk together until well combined becareful not to over mix .
4-Divide the batter between two 8″ round cake pans. Bake until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake and comes out clean.
5-Let the cakes cool completely before frosting.
*To make the vegan chocolate frosting, use a mixer to beat together all the ingredients. If your frosting is a little too stiff, add 1 to 2 tablespoons of non-dairy milk to soften it up until desired texture .
6-Run a knife around the edges of the cake pans, and flip the pans over to remove the cakes.
7-Add Half of the frosting on the top of one of the cakes and place secont cake on top and add the rest of the frosting and decorate as you wish.
(I'm a newnie baking cakes , dont look for perfection here . just a simple cake , made with only good stuff and care .
