Easy and Quick Raw vegan brownies

I have to confess i have never been really a fan of chocolate .

But since I am using real cacao in my recipes and my desserts are not loaded with refined sugar and all the unhealthy stuff I am now really enjoying eating chocolate based desserts when I have the chance .

for example these super easy to do Raw cacao brownies are packed with healthy fats , minerals , vitamins ... Raw cacao powder adds high-nutrients, especially antioxidants to any recipe .

There is a big difference between raw cacao powder and the generic cocoa powder you will find in Regular supermarkets .

Raw cacao powder is a real superfood ,packed with antioxidants, proteins , minerals and vitamins,  healthy fats, fibers .

Raw Cacao comes from un-roasted cacao beans minimally processed with no additives which allow to keep all its nutrients that would be otherwise destroyed by high temperature ;

Please note it is better to use a non dairy milk for your recipe since research shows that dairy inhibits absorption of anti oxidants from raw cacao.

INGRÉDIENTS

 

2 Cups of walnuts

1 cup ofpitted dates  (10-15)

1/4 cup of Raw cacao powder

1/4 Cup of baby oats or hempseed

1 Tsp of cinnamon powder  

1/4 Tsp of Himalayan salt . 

 

CHOCOLATE COVER 

1/2 cup of coconut oil (melted )

1/2 cup of raw cacao powder

1/4 cup of maple syrup

1/4 tsp of salt .

 

METHOD 

In a food processor, add walnuts, and begin to process until finely ground ,

Add hemp seeds or baby oats , raw  raw cacao ,dates , cinnamon powder powder and salt ,

Process until well-combined and until a thick paste forms

Remove nut/cacao mixture and transfer to a rectangular mold

Line it with a parchment paper, leaving an overhang on opposite sides. Press the raw brownie dough onto the bottom of the lined mold mould. Refrigerate for 15 - 20 minutes, while you prepare chocolate cover  .

CHOCOLATE COVER 

Melt the coconut oil at low temperature then add maple syrup , raw raw cacao and sea salt until well combined.

 

Take your brownie mixture from the freezer and pour over the chocolate sauce  and let it set for a few minutes, you can put it in the freezer again for few more minutes .

Add extra chocolate sauce if you want a thicker  layer , and place it back in the freezer for 10-15 minutes before cutting .

Store brownies in an airtight container to keep fresh. Will keep for 3-4 days at room temperature, or in the fridge for at least 1 week .
