Vanilla flavored Almond Milk
( keeps refrigerated 2-3 days
1 cup of raw almonds (soaked minimum one day if possible up to 2-3 days . (The more you soak the almonds the creamier the milk is )
3 cups of water
1 tsp pure vanilla extract (or the contents of a vanilla bean)
Pinch of sea salt .
- In a high speed blender (preferible )Blend soaked almonds and water (use clean , purified or mineral water , get rid of the water used for soaking the almonds )
- strain through the nut milk bag ideally or cheesecloth with a strainer if you don't have one .
- Clean out the blender jug and pour back in the milk to add the desired flavor .(alternatively you can use dates , agave or maple )
- Blend again for a couple of more minutes .
