Basic Granola with almonds

Making your own granola allows you to control its flavor at 100% ,

You can use less sugar than the brands bought at the supermarkets and you can also customize it the way you like it. 

 

I added extra goji berries ,coconut flakes and quinoa pops .  Here is served on a coconut strawberry yogurt with extra dry and fresh fruits .

Dry Ingredients

* 3 cups of oats

* 1 cup raw almonds, chopped (soaked overnight or at least 8 hr)

 

Wet Ingredients

* 1/2 cup of agave or coconut syrup

* 2 teaspoons of melted coconut oil

* 1 tablespoon cinnamon

* 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

 

Method

 

* Preheat oven to 175 degrees C.

* Mix the dry ingredients in a baking dish and toast them in the preheated oven for 
10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally.

 

* While the oats are toasting, combine the moist ingredients.

 

*when the oats are toasted , add a dash of syrup to the mixture over the oats. Stir 
until well combined.

 

* Prepare a baking pan with waxed paper and place the mixture back in the oven, but this time with the oven off.

 

 this will allow the granola to finish toasting without burning, let stand in the oven for 5-8 minutes. remove and cool completely.

you can add more nuts, and dehydrated fruit to your taste.
